At the recent Equal Measures event held by Booktrust UK at the London bookfair, Alex Strick had this to say about Avril and the Off We Go! books. We wanted to say an especially big thank you to Avril Webster, who came all the way from Ireland to lend her support to the Equal Measures initiative. Avril is the amazing creator of Off We Go! books. Avril created this fantastic series of books in direct response to the need for simple, colourful picture books which explain activities like visiting the dentist and going swimming in a fun but clear way, for children with learning difficulties. It's an inspired series of books, and I know of no other range of books which fulfils this important need. I would recommend Off We Go! wholeheartedly and wish more books like these were available on the mainstream market. We thank Avril for all her help and expertise and wish her all the very best for the future of Off We Go! |
