This book describes what happens when you go to the optician in 12 simple clear pictures.

It can be used before a child goes to the optician to get new glasses, to prepare the child as to what is likely to happen at the opticians.

I use the book as a visual aid to support my son. I use it to help prepare having to wait for his turn, what the optician is likely to do with him, and the fact that he will not get his new glasses straight away. But most of all I use it to help him understand what is going to happen and so as to reduce his anxiety about this new experience for him.
